Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly popular material for jewelry. It is affordable and does not fade. However, like silver, brass is prone to oxidation. Rain, sweat, and air can cause its color to deepen. While some appreciate this natural patina, to avoid it, pay attention to the following: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not being worn. If the luster fades, there are several simple methods to restore your item's original brilliance. Please note that if the item is scratched, while the color can be restored, the shine may not be fully recovered (the matte, antique bronze look of vintage pieces is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and brush as if brushing your teeth to restore the brass's luster. Ensure to dry thoroughly after cleaning. ♦ Wipe with a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not suitable for brushed surfaces). ♦ Squeeze lemon juice, dilute it, place the brass item in the solution for about 5 minutes to quickly restore its shine (not suitable for natural stones sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
