This wheel-thrown tea bowl was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration.
This pot was made from Japanese porcelain clay and then my original glaze was applied. This pot was wood-fired for 4 days. The natural wood ash and glaze mixed well together to create a one-off piece that cannot be reproduced.
While the clay was still wet, I cut into the material to create a pattern to add interest and also to show the hand of the maker.
My seal is stamped at the base of this tea bowl. It's quite a pronounced one.
Be the owner of a handmade tea bowl made from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
