Not machine-printed, not gilded. This is a hand-painted Thangka you can zoom in on without fear!
White Tara is also known as the Mother of Seven Eyes. Legend has it that she manifested from a tear shed by Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva from his eye to save sentient beings. She is pure white, with a serene and dignified appearance. Each of her hands and feet bears an eye, and her face has three eyes, hence the name "Mother of Seven Eyes."
It is believed that those who practice the Tara mantra will have all their sins and obstacles eradicated, be able to avert all calamities, and be blessed with offspring.
This beautiful and graceful White Mother deserves to be by your side always~
