Residing in Taiwan, they work diligently in an old apartment in Taipei, creating and producing stamps. Previously an editor for magazine and book publishers, Chamilgarden now focuses full-time on stamp design. Each season, they release handmade original stamps, with their published collections (volumes 1-8) featuring over 100 unique stamps. Their authored books include "Handicraft Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stampers: Next Stamp Class." Using erasers as their primary carving material, each stamp is painstakingly created with every stroke. Stamp designs are often inspired by everyday observations, scenic travels, and cherished interests (incorporating elements like text, flora, geometric shapes, nature, and architecture). These inspirations are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing layered lines and planes, minimalist primary and secondary lines, foreign text, and personal notations of components to form the stamp's visual composition. Chamilgarden enjoys pairing stamps and colors, orchestrating unique combinations, collaborations, and repetitions between stamps of varying sizes. Many graphic designs also originate from segments of their stamps, extended through printing techniques, such as postcards and washi tape.
