Embroidered handbag with floral pattern.
Convenient size, perfect for everyday use.
The entire piece uses the traditional "Kantha embroidery" technique of Bangladesh and India. It comes from the wisdom of valuing fabrics in daily life, by layering several old pieces of fabric and repurposing them through embroidery.
You'll love these patterns that are handmade stitch by stitch. Using traditional craftsmanship to manufacture is a way to pass on skills and is also the pride of the manufacturer.

|Production Group|
Syedpur Enterprises is a fair trade group that helps refugees in Bangladesh.
In the 1970s, the independence war broke out between Bangladesh and Pakistan, and more than one million refugees who lost their homes and places of origin gathered in the Saidpur refugee camp. The Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a nonprofit that provides food and relief to refugee camps, noticed the need for jobs in the area and trained 150 women in screen printing, jute bag sewing and other crafts. Silk screen printing. Thus, in 1976, a small workshop called "Action Bags" whose main business was the production of bags and a small workshop called "Eastern Screen Printers" whose business was screen printing were born.
They produce the bags from Linen(a type of hemp) which is native to Bangladesh and are hand-screen printed by their sister company Eastern Screen Printers using safe, environmentally friendly dyes. Currently, Saidpur Enterprises has more than 70 women employees.
Joshuna started working at Sidepool Enterprises after being abandoned by her husband 10 years ago.
What changes has Fair Trade brought?
“As a maid, I earn only half of what I earn at Saidpur Enterprises. There are no other jobs in the area. At Saidpur Enterprises, I am respected and my schedule is flexible. “I am able to go back home and
and adjust my schedule accordingly,"
Joshna said she used five months' salary to re-roof her house.
Besides, I have to send my niece to school.
