We give new life to broken or chipped ceramics that can no longer be used, mending them with Kintsugi and transforming them into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, thus fostering new possibilities. We have adorned fragments of pottery, painted with a delicate pink floral pattern, with freshwater pearls. The sides of the ceramic pieces are enhanced with Kintsugi, so the gold beautifully complements the piece even from the side, adding a touch of elegance. This work utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi using genuine lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, this piece uses adhesive for the main bonding.
