Flowers emerge from the axils of the tubercles, about 1.5 cm in diameter, yellow flowers, with yellow pistils and stamens, odorless. Blooms at noon and closes at 5 PM. Grows relatively quickly, with accelerated growth in the second year for seedlings. *Mammillaria duwei* has fuzzy areoles. The body has prominent small nipple-like protrusions, each topped with various small spines, some resembling feathers, others like insects. They are not large and are very cute. | Sunlight and Watering | In summer, enhance ventilation and provide adequate shade to prevent sunburn from direct sun. Place in a location with ample sunlight, such as a windowsill or balcony. Water approximately once a week in summer. In dimly lit indoor conditions or during prolonged rainy days, supplement light with a bright plant lamp. Ensure timely drainage during the rainy season to prevent root rot and avoid water accumulation in the crevices of the cactus body, which can cause rot. Water approximately once every two weeks from spring to autumn. Winter is a dormant period, so keep the soil dry and control watering, extending the interval to once a month. During cold snaps in winter, move indoors for warmth and protection from cold winds. Place in a sunny spot and reduce watering frequency. Maintain an ambient temperature above 7°C for safe overwintering. | Soil | You can choose a succulent potting mix, or prepare a mixture of peat moss and perlite in a 1:1 ratio. Add an appropriate amount of general-purpose organic granular fertilizer. Avoid fertilizing during high temperatures and in winter. Prevent fertilizer and water from splashing onto the plant.
