Silver has a property of reacting with sulfur compounds in the air and forming a film on the surface. Once this film builds up to the point that it no longer allows light to pass through, it appears black to the human eye. In the "Smoked Series," you can enjoy the colors that emerge during the gradual formation of the film, as well as the deep and mature colors of aged silver. The silver sulfide phenomenon, with its unique dull glow and long aging process, is associated with a phrase in Japanese culture, "Ibushigin" (smoked silver), symbolizing people with depth and quiet strength, much like a person with true skill, despite not being flashy.
