Rust-dyed handwoven tea towel/pendant
Rust dyeing, plant dyeing (bluegrass, Terminalia macrophylla)
Material: cotton, ramie, Bronze
Size: 36x123cm
Ramie is selected as the warp thread, indigo-dyed hand-twisted cotton thread is used as the weft thread, and then woven on a loom. The ramie thread is rust-dyed and then counter-dyed with Terminalia macrophylla green. The ramie thread and the blue-dyed hand-twisted cotton thread have irregular and interesting shapes of different thicknesses. The warp and weft are intertwined to form a visual landscape, and the plain weave texture gives the vision a sense of penetration. Can be placed on tea banquet mats or wall hanging decorations.
rust stain
Rusty iron is used for dyeing. In a humid environment, the natural fiber is brought into contact with the rusty iron, and the rust color is dyed into the fiber after waiting for time to soak, and then the color appears.
Plant dyeing
The dyeing liquid is extracted from Terminalia macrophylla and follows the manual dyeing process of plant dyeing.
*Hand-woven works are all one piece.
