Based on a sketch, clay is molded and shaped, with repeated drying and refining processes. We produce enough pieces to fill the kiln evenly over approximately one month. Bisque firing takes 7 hours, after which the pieces are removed, wiped with water, individually glazed, and then undergo main firing for 12 hours. For certain pieces, gold glaze is applied before returning them to the kiln for another 7 hours. As slow cooling is necessary, we wait about two days after each firing before removing them from the kiln. Finally, each piece is inspected, and a pin is attached to the selected ones. Currently, our success rate is around 70%. Although this process requires considerable time and effort, it results in decorative brooches that combine the tactile warmth of clay, the durability of ceramic, the luster of glaze, and the sparkle of gold accents. We believe these pieces are made to be cherished for a long time, without losing their appeal.
