As the fabric is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which can look like small "frays." While these are unavoidable with the use of antique machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through rigorous factory inspections and by carefully selecting fabric pieces during cutting, using them in less visible areas when found. However, due to the nature of the machinery, they cannot be entirely eliminated.
