Inspired by a Christmas song, this piece draws from Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence." This work serves as a memory piece, a farewell to one's past self. In the past, there was a tree, a place my childhood self loved to visit. Squirrels would often scamper down to play, and it was also our meeting spot with friends. This tree stood there through wind and rain, even as the surroundings changed, and houses were mostly demolished. It remained, yet my memories of it began to fade, becoming blurred and indistinct. It's time to say goodbye to it.
