Moe Nakamura, a Japanese contemporary artist who is currently attracting much attention, has suddenly emerged in the Tokyo art scene, setting off a healing whirlwind. His works are mainly character wood carvings that are full of warmth to the touch. Most of the sculptures retain the scratches and textures during carving and are unique in style. The works are full of childlike and humorous but soothing textures, cute but not too cute. The cliché appearance wins with an unexaggerated shape; the pure and quiet atmosphere makes people feel like they have entered the beautiful fantasy of a fairy tale.
