Made at famous GOMZ-LOMO plant! SMENA-2 35mm FILM CAMERA WITH T-22 40mm F4.5 LENS ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) First postwar Smena that was in production in 1952, start of very successful series of folk cameras manufactured in millions. Smena-2 produced at GOMZ plant in 1955-1961 years. I don't know any other Soviet camera which has so beautiful ratio "quality/price" than Smena! It was issued 1,579,326 of Smena-2 camera. ITEM'S CONDITION: WELL-USABLE, TESTED Cosmetically the camera looks in nice condition, just examine item's photos, please. The lens is enough clean and should bring nice images. Focusing and aperture are enough smooth. All shutter speeds looks appropriate. Self-timer is malfunctions, but it will not impact on taking images. Viewfinder is clean. Film winding works properly. All bakelite parts are complete. All functions are available exept self-timer. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Brand: GOMZ (later on became LOMO). * Model: Smena-2. * Frame size 24x36mm, usual 135 type film cassettes are applicable. * Central shutter provide speeds 1/200, 1/100, 1/50, 1/25, 1/10 & B. Synchronization with flash is at any shutter speed. The shutter is produced for operation at a temperature from minus 15 to +45°C . * Shutter release button has standard conic groove for cable release. * Lens: three element coated T-22 (Triplet-22) 40mm, same lenses provides very clear, sharp and contrast images. * Aperture from 4 to 22 without clicks. * Presented the scale of sharpness depth. * There is presented additional scales with digits at aperture and shutter speed scales, which helped to account the exposition. * Focusing from 1.3 m. * Filter mount: external 32mm. * Self-timer is presented. * Film winding is from cassette to cassette, You can use any modern type 135 film cartridge and old type take-up cassette. NOTE: Please be careful to require old take-up film cassettes back from service when you'll want to process your films. Unfortunately old type multi-using film cassettes are enough rare thing today. * Shutter release is separate from film winding, thus after each shutter release You'll have to press a special button and then to wind the film on next frame. * Accessory shoe allows to mount special rangefinder Smena or old type flash units (with "long" and "cold" shoe). * The camera was made at GOMZ-LOMO plant in USSR in 1950s.
