Original vessels created by ceramic artist Morishita Shingo.
The lid was created by woodworker Yasushi Shimizu to fit the container.
With this combination, a new "lidded container" was created.
This time we would like to introduce the "Ice Blue White Engraved Clay Lidded Container."
The body of the vessel is made of ceramic clay. The body has brush marks made of white clay, giving it a dry texture. The edges are glazed with ice blue glaze, creating a distinctive contrast.
The lid is made of mahogany and the knob is made of walnut. The knob was designed with the idea of using it as a water jar in mind. The combination of two pillars and a streamlined shape gives the whole piece a good balance. The contrast between the body and the lid is also effective.
It can be used as a container, an object, or even a water jar.
So how do you use this?
■Material: Container/Ceramics
Lid: Mahogany, walnut
■Size: Outer diameter approx. 185-190mm, height approx. 175mm
*The lid is finished with natural oil. If moisture is left on the lid, it will stain, so please wipe off the moisture as soon as possible. Also, do not use a dish dryer, dry in direct sunlight, or use a microwave, as these may cause cracks or warping.
Also, the lid is not airtight, so it is not suitable as a storage container for items that dislike moisture.
