Bi Rongrong is an artist living and working in Shanghai whose video artworks are part of CHAT’s Spring Programme 2020 Unconstrained Textiles: Stitching Methods, Crossing Ideas. Her practice reimagines architectural motifs and manufacturing possibilities to create works that are mesmerising to observe and point at a parallel reality of colours and manufacturing speculation. Using digital printing technology, CHAT collaborated with the artist to print her work on 100% silk satin for a wearable piece of art.
Available in limited quantities, the silk stole is sized in 120 x 120cm and comes in two designs:
1. Re-encode–Pattern XI–Permeating Cyan
2. Re-encode–Pattern XI–Pervading Pink
