Multi-Blue Antique Whiteheart & Chevron Bead Necklace with Turquoise Clasp

This necklace is crafted by stringing together antique Whiteheart and Chevron beads in various shades of blue. The colorful tube-shaped blue beads are antique Whiteheart beads, named for their white core. These particular beads are from Venice, dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, and offer a beautiful array of vibrant blues and turquoise hues. Blue Whiteheart beads are rare and highly sought after, with this piece even including some with a unique striped pattern. The turquoise blue beads are antique Venetian Chevron beads, characterized by their distinctive four-layer structure. In English, "chevron" refers to a "mountain range" shape (known as Rosetta in Italian). These beads are considered the "nobility" of beads, holding significant value and meaning. Turquoise blue Chevron beads are exceptionally rare and difficult to find, and this necklace also features blue Chevron beads. Semi-transparent beads are incorporated into the clasp and as part of the bracelet. These are Indo-Pacific beads, with origins tracing back to the 2nd century BCE. The beads in this necklace are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, remarkably dating back to around the 10th century—over a thousand years old! We've also mixed in various other blue Venetian antique beads. Accompanying the golden beads and ancient agate are charms resembling anchors, crafted from old Orissan brass. These are old and rare beads originating from the state of Orissa in India. The charms near the clasp are also old brass sourced from India. Each small Karen silver bead near the clasp is individually stamped—a process that is truly awe-inspiring to contemplate. ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by the mountain-dwelling ethnic groups of the Tai-Burmese region. Each piece is handmade and said to be of very high purity. The clasp features a turquoise stone (Turquoise size: 1.2cm diameter). The necklace is strung with waxed cord, which may feel slightly stiff initially but will become supple with wear. The necklace looks just as elegant when the clasp is worn at the front.
