This piece faithfully recreates the intricate details of such sculptures and transforms them into a wearable pendant. The original model was created using 3D scanning technology. It has been scaled down to the smallest possible size while maintaining the integrity of its fine details—something extremely difficult to achieve by hand. This allows for a level of precision and delicacy unique to 3D scanning. The finishing is done using a “white finish” technique specific to silver products, enhancing the natural characteristics of silver while recreating the texture of plaster. In Japan, it is commonly referred to as “Arias,” a name that became popular due to a mistranslation of the French name “Ariane” (Ariadne). However, recent interpretations suggest that the original sculpture may actually represent Dionysus rather than Ariadne.
