Creator: Zong-Ye | Autism with mild intellectual disability
Maria Social Welfare Foundation, Cleaning Team
Zong-Ye, who has mild intellectual disability accompanied by autism, was accustomed to routine and disliked change before discovering painting, which made him feel uneasy when faced with alterations.
His mother also suffers from a rare cerebellar atrophy disease. Zong-Ye once told his teacher that he felt his mother worked very hard, so he would thoughtfully stay home with her on weekends to do piecework together. He also deeply wishes he could take his mother out to play.
His teacher observed that through painting, he has become more confident, willing to experiment with different colors in his creations, and even his smile has become more frequent!
