Buddha statues emerging from collapsed pagodas in Mandalay region, Myanmar.
Sitting Bodhisattva.
The date is estimated to be between the 18th and 19th centuries (the cultural relic dealers who brought it back to Taiwan think the date should be older...)
I have been handling cultural relics for many years...it is better to be conservative and underestimate the age.
The back of the Buddha statue is not sealed with mud.
Bronze alloy.
There are 5 small holes that are leaking from the casting.
The overall height is 15 cm. The bottom width is 9.2 cm. The widest point is 10.5 cm. It weighs 552 grams.
The exterior has been cleaned up.
Remove the hard, cement-like Cement on the Bronze . Remove most of the green rust and oxides.
