During the Edo period, sweeter varieties were introduced, and fruit development advanced, leading to a distinction between "Hanamomo" for ornamental viewing and "Mizumomo" for eating. Ornamental "Hanamomo" often feature double flowers with more than 10 petals, whereas edible "Mizumomo" typically have single flowers with five petals. The flower language associated with peach blossoms includes "I am captivated by you," "Charming," "Good-natured," and "Captivated by love." The prevalence of feminine connotations in its flower language stems from the peach's association with women, famously symbolized by the "Peach Festival" on March 3rd. Furthermore, in the Kojiki, an ancient Japanese chronicle, Izanagi-no-Mikoto is said to have repelled pursuing demons by throwing peaches, bestowing the peach fruit with the flower meaning "Invincible." This tale is also believed to be the origin of the story of "Momotaro," a hero who battles demons. We envisioned accessories named "Mizumomo," inspired by these peach blossoms and fruit.
