The few irregularly shaped pieces are raw stones that have been swept from deep mountains to the coast by powerful currents. The more complete the sea-washing process, the more refined the stone's texture. In terms of Taiwanese origins, Sea-Washed Jade can be categorized into Eastern Jade (Hualien-Taitung), Western Jade (Northern, Central, and Southern regions), and Southern Jade (Kaohsiung-Pingtung). Over millions of years of geological evolution, different strata have formed varied mineral veins. Even jade of the same type can reveal its unique origin through its external characteristics. Among these, the jade from the coastal mountain ranges of Hualien and Taitung primarily consists of fibrous cryptocrystalline chalcedony, broadly classified into two main categories: Jasper and Chalcedony.
