By carefully controlling the thickness of each glaze layer and firing at 1260 degrees Celsius, it undergoes a 20-hour fiery transformation. This process allows the glaze to shrink and flow within the kiln, producing the patterns and fluidity reminiscent of peacock feathers. The difficulty in its creation lies in the precise control of glaze thickness and temperature curves. If the glaze is too thin or the temperature too low, the distinctive peacock feather pattern will not emerge. Conversely, if the glaze is too thick or the temperature too high, it may flow onto the plate, causing the cup and plate to be damaged together. Ambient temperature also influences the final outcome. Numerous factors are at play, and even after years of dedicated study, achieving perfect predictability remains elusive. However, it is precisely these variables that imbue the finished piece with its preciousness. It is hoped that this artwork will inspire everyone to maintain hope when facing adversity, to persevere with unwavering effort, and to one day unfurl their own beautiful feathers like a peacock, illuminating their lives with brilliance!
