Use a pen or pencil to mark the back of your heel and the furthest point from your heel (note, this is not always your longest toe). Measure the distance between these two points on your foot with a ruler (allow for a difference of ±0.5 cm). The resulting number is the length of your foot. Add an extra 0.5-1.2 cm to your foot length (for ideal looseness) to get the ideal size for your shoes.
