This is an antique finish for brass, not a defect or stain. This treatment enhances the brass surface's rust resistance, making it less prone to developing dark spots over time. Before shipping, the surface will undergo basic polishing and finishing, neither of which affects the brass's integrity or the final wax seal impression. ❖ ◤ Instructions for Use 1. Gather your tools: Hammer, wax sticks, lighter, alcohol lamp, baby oil (Before use, apply baby oil to the brass stamp to prevent wax from sticking). 2. Break wax sticks into small pieces and place them in the spoon until about 80% full. Ignite the alcohol lamp and heat until the wax melts (with slight bubbling). 3. Let the heated wax cool for a few tens of seconds to prevent overheating, which can cause bubbling and an unfavorable shape. 4. Slowly pour the melted wax onto the desired area. Vertically press the sealing wax stamp onto the wax and wait a few seconds before lifting to achieve a beautiful wax seal. * Please perform this process in a well-ventilated area at all times. * Be mindful that if the paper is too thin, the wax may adhere to the back. It is recommended to use a glass or metal backing. * Each of our wax sticks can create approximately 6-7 seals, depending on the amount used by the individual.
