It's also deep, so it can hold dishes with a bit of liquid. Great for salads, steamed vegetables, steamed or fried dishes, and even fruit. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing.
