The main intention is to express the graceful flutter of butterflies and the delicate, rainbow-like iridescence from the scales on their wings. ꕤ ̊⊹+ The surface of a butterfly's wings is covered in countless scales, each measuring approximately 50 to 200 micrometers (1 micrometer = 0.001 millimeters). They are as tiny as powder. These scales detach easily and serve crucial functions, such as helping the butterfly escape danger (like spiderwebs). They also offer waterproofing, camouflage, buoyancy, and thermoregulation, aiding the butterfly's survival. And of course, they create that beautiful iridescence! ꕤ ̊⊹+ Multiple techniques were combined in the creation process solely to faithfully represent the delicate, iridescent glow of the scales on the butterfly's wings. The initial finalized butterfly shape felt like it was missing something... I almost decided to postpone it for another time (My assistant exclaimed: "When will that be?
