Prototyped using recycled silver, each fired silver bead retains its natural texture: the sintering patterns from silver impurities and the curvature formed as molten metal cools in charcoal molds. The uneven, unpolished silver beads possess a painterly texture, showcasing an imperfect yet natural wabi-sabi beauty. To enhance structural integrity while preserving this natural texture, we collaborated with a master caster to create a mold from the prototype. The bangle is then cast as a single piece using refined 925 sterling silver, and finally, hand-finished in our studio in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung. This bangle features a closed design.
