| Description |
The timeless tradition of indigo dyeing, using fermented dye baths prepared with *Polygonum tinctorium*, sake lees, and wood ash.
We collaborate with the Tai Lue ethnic group, inheritors of ancient craft techniques from Laos,
to maximize the quality and comfort of their artistry,
allowing the deepest indigo hues to exude a rich aroma, vibrant color, and palpable vitality.
Each moment of rest, resting in a sea of azure, one can feel the resonance and relaxation between the body and the textile,
finding simple yet profound happiness in repose.
With a focus on the health and practicality for our users, Yang Ga has repeatedly experimented, tested, and refined the sourcing, craftsmanship, and practical design.
This collection of blankets and bedding, created through hand-spinning, hand-weaving, intricate plant dyeing, numerous processes, and the accumulation of sunshine and time,
offers a texture that contemporary machine fibers cannot replicate. It encourages a deeper understanding of how prolonged contact with natural objects and environments can awaken mind and body awareness, providing a joyful sensation of relaxation and gentle comfort against the skin.

Yang Ga's cotton is primarily sourced from the mountainous regions 300 kilometers north of Luang Prabang, Laos,
nestled amidst rice paddies and forests.

From harvest to yarn, our pure natural cotton undergoes a complex yet warm handmade process.

Local weavers sun-dry the harvested cotton to remove seeds,
then carefully fluff it to a cloud-like softness.

Through the gentle touch of hands, cotton bolls transform into supple fibers,
which are then spun into fine threads on a hand-operated spinning wheel.

These delicate threads, carrying the purity of the earth and the patience of handcraft,
are woven into each piece of fabric, imparting a natural touch and a comforting sense of security.

The indigo used by Yang Ga is cultivated from *Polygonum tinctorium* in the northern mountains and *Isatis indigotica* from the south of Laos. The traditional dyeing techniques passed down for generations by the Tai Lue and Phou Tai ethnic groups combine with pure natural cotton threads to create our textiles.

Historical Japanese texts suggest that indigo dyeing held "the efficacy of wearable medicine."
During volunteer work in West Africa, the founder of Yang Ga observed indigenous communities using crushed leaves of mountain indigo to dress wounds, aiding in the healing of damaged skin.
