While the previous iteration featured aquamarine with milky blue tones from Madagascar, this version uses triple-A grade aquamarine from Mozambique. The varying shades of transparent blue offer a more subdued yet refreshingly serene aesthetic compared to the milky stones. Thanks to superior polishing and sharp edge detailing, the necklace exhibits a captivating sparkle when light hits it, showcasing its brilliance. Necklaces crafted with wire tend to have a certain structure and hold their shape nicely. However, this piece is finished with silk cord, with each bead individually spaced and knotted, deliberately eliminating that rigidity. This creates a relaxed, "drapey" feel that is both comfortable to wear and light. A blue cord might complement the aquamarine's color, but we found it could overpower the stones and detract from their natural radiance. Therefore, we chose a charcoal gray cord to best highlight the aquamarine's transparency. You can adapt this piece to suit the season by changing the material and size of layered necklaces, adding volume for different occasions, or even wearing it as a bracelet.
