Have you ever had clothes with loose stitching, missing buttons, or undone fastenings that you could no longer wear because you didn't know how to make simple repairs yourself or for your family?
In recent years, the development of fast fashion has transformed and impacted many consumers' habits regarding purchasing and wearing clothes. It's a pity that many garments are discarded or no longer worn, perhaps before they even show signs of wear.
However, regardless of how fast fashion reshapes our lives, there will inevitably be cherished items you wish to preserve or continue wearing in your daily life. No matter how carefully you care for them, clothes will eventually need mending—think of the buttons on shirts or coats that often come loose, the drooping hems on trousers or skirts, seams that tear open, or even the desire to alter the length yourself.
Through online courses focusing on different hand-sewing techniques, this program is designed for absolute beginners interested in learning to sew. The goal is to equip you with basic hand-sewing skills that you can confidently use at home for practical clothing repairs.
This online course solely teaches fundamental hand-sewing techniques. You will create practice pieces to solidify your skills, which can then serve as samples for future self-review.
