The technique of ikat dyeing is becoming increasingly rare, even more so than weaving techniques, making this a truly precious handicraft. [Care Instructions for Natural Dye and Hand-Woven Products] Natural dyes are less resistant to washing and sunlight compared to chemical dyes, and their colors will change with use. Please pay attention to the following when caring for and using these products. Color transfer or fading may occur due to friction or moisture. Be cautious of color transfer when wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags. Using dark-colored clothing/bags together may make color transfer less noticeable. Darker colors are particularly prone to fading, so we recommend washing the garment once before wearing. When washing, we recommend hand washing separately from other clothes. If using a washing machine, use a mild detergent, place the item in a mesh laundry bag, and wash on a gentle cycle separately from other clothes. However, machine washing may cause fabric damage and increased color fading. Avoid using a dryer and hang the item to dry in the shade. - About starching: Some fabric products may use rice starch for the threads. The starch will typically wash out after about two washes.
