Lu Yu Tea Room
The diversity of food culture has led to the continuous development of various food spaces, deducing the vitality unique to Hong Kong.
As early as 1842, there were teahouses in Hong Kong. After the 1920s, the prosperity of commerce led to the emergence of more teahouses. Going to the tea house to drink tea in the morning is not only a Cantonese tradition, but also a place for business.
Opened in 1933, Lu Yu Tea House, which is still in business today, has inherited the tradition of tea houses in the Lingnan region of Guangdong, and has always followed the high-end line. Its long-term customers are merchants and businessmen in the Central area. Wearing white uniforms and holding a large water pot to make tea for the guests' teacups, the elegant wooden booths, stained glass and a large number of famous calligraphy and paintings in the interior of Qitang make tea drinking in Lu Yu a unique experience.
