Originally there is nothing anywhere, so where can dust arise? Inspired by nature, the "Loving Leaf Series" uses various leaves as references. Each vein is painstakingly hammered into the metal by hand. Following this, the pieces are brushed with "Natural Cashew Lacquer" in a dust-free environment. Only one coat can be applied per day, waiting until the next day for the lacquer to dry completely before applying the second. This process requires over five coats, taking 5-6 working days to complete, due to its complex and time-consuming nature. Through these creations, the artist hopes to convey a message of mindful observation of the world around us. From humble roadside flowers and grasses to fallen leaves, all living things express life, whether audibly or silently. Using the enduring and resilient nature of red copper, the artist transforms and preserves the ephemeral beauty of leaves, symbolizing the idea that while physical forms may fade, the spirit and soul will endure eternally.
