|The idea of this product comes from the Library of Congress "Hokusai Katsushika, Tokaido Shinagawa Gotenyama Fuji"
Katsushika Hokusai (Japanese: 葛饰北斎/かつしかほくさい October 31, 1760 - May 10, 1849), whose real name was Nakajima Tokitaro, was born in Edo (now Tokyo) in 1760. He was a ukiyo-e artist in the late Edo period of Japan and a representative figure of Japanese political culture. He learned woodblock printing at the age of 14, and learned painting from another ukiyo-e artist, Katsukawa Shunsho, at the age of 18, beginning his long and prolific painting career. In 1826, in order to support the development of tourism in mainland Japan at that time and because of his personal love for Mount Fuji, Hokusai created a series of landscape paintings entitled "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" based on the appearance of Mount Fuji from different angles, and became famous for this. The most famous works in the series are "Go Go Squid!" and "The Great Wave off Kanagawa". Her daughter Katsushika Oei is also a well-known painter. Hokusai was born in Katsushika Village in the eastern suburbs of Edo, and later became the adopted son of the imperial mirror grinder. When he was young, he worked as an apprentice in a rental shop, and made a living by running around delivering books. He studied illustration as a hobby and studied under painters such as Katsukawa Shunsho and Tawaraya Sori. He began publishing his works at the age of 19 and died at the age of 90. It is estimated that he left behind about 35,000 works.
