Material Information: The prevalent 14k gold-filled material used at mixandfun is crafted by plating a layer of 1/20 14k gold onto a brass base. This has become a popular choice in recent years for its ease of care, durability, and longer-lasting color. It also offers a more accessible price point compared to solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is entirely composed of 14k gold, both inside and out. It contains approximately 58.5% gold, with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. In Taiwan's climate, solid 14k gold requires even less maintenance and offers a more refined color. It's also a suitable option for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material frequently utilized. mixandfun specifically selects beloved, unplated chains and then applies a special plating process. This ensures that the color remains durable under normal wear conditions. Care Instructions: 1. For all jewelry, it is advisable to put on your accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear. Avoid wearing them while bathing, in hot springs, or while swimming. 2. For earrings, we recommend attaching the included silicone stoppers to minimize the risk of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if jewelry is not worn for an extended period, gently wipe it with a soft cloth before storing it in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when removing them. This helps to prevent tangles. 5. Whether it's 14k gold-filled, solid 14k gold, or custom alloy, all materials will show signs of wear over time. We appreciate your understanding. 6. A simple care tip: If you notice any tarnishing, don't worry. You can prepare a small bowl with water, a pinch of salt, and a piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and polish. It should regain its shine. (Material compositions may vary slightly between brands. You can gently clean solid gold or general alloy jewelry by placing it in your palm, dipping an old toothbrush in toothpaste, and lightly brushing for about half a minute.
