**A Special Stool Finished with Persimmon Tannin and Iron Mordant Dyeing**
This cool and stylish stool is a special piece dyed with "Kakishibu Tetsubaisen," a unique dyeing liquid made from persimmon tannin and iron powder. At first glance, it may appear black, but it's actually a deep dark brown where the wood grain is clearly visible. It adds a quiet, understated presence to any room without being overpowering.

**Utilizing Original Dyeing Liquid from 'Tachibana Textile Research Institute'**
The original dyeing liquid, "Kakishibu Tetsubaisen," was developed by the 'Tachibana Textile Research Institute' located in Mukoujima, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. This dyeing method involves first applying a persimmon tannin base coat, then immersing the wood in a liquid containing iron powder to achieve a rich, burnt-brown color. The dyeing liquid is naturally derived, using wood vinegar (a liquid obtained by cooling the components of smoke generated during charcoal production) from a local charcoal kiln in Onomichi City, combined with iron powder sourced from a local steelworks.

**The Seat and Legs are Separated and Dyed Individually with Care**
The "LISCIO Stool" features detachable seat and legs. Each component is meticulously dyed by hand after being disassembled. The natural indigo dye harmonizes beautifully with the solid wood, ensuring a flawless finish without any missed spots. Furthermore, after dyeing, a urethane coating is applied to the surface, preventing any color transfer to clothing or other items.

**Made from Oak, a Material That Beautifully Highlights the Wood Grain**
Oak wood is chosen for its suitability to iron mordant dyeing, as it allows the wood grain to emerge beautifully. The texture and the way the grain appears vary with each stool, showcasing the distinct character of the wood.

**Serial Number on the Underside of the Seat**
Even more than the unique wood grain of each piece, the way the dyeing liquid adheres creates a distinct texture for every stool. We embrace this variation as "individuality" and value the uniqueness of each stool, which is why we assign serial numbers. This reflects our belief that each stool, with its different expression, holds inherent value.

**The "LISCIO Stool," a DENTO Classic Popular for its Comfortable Seating**
This is a three-legged stool made from solid wood. The legs are constructed using mortise and tenon joinery, assembled from three directions. Its minimalist beauty and exquisite curves are the result of skilled craftsmanship. The sturdy construction provides excellent support for the seat, ensuring a stable and comfortable sitting experience.

**A Smooth Touch That Soothes with Every Use**
After repeated polishing, the surface is treated with natural oil. From the seat to the underside and legs, the finish is exceptionally smooth, inviting you to touch it repeatedly. Its gentle texture provides comfort whether you're sitting or carrying it. With regular maintenance, it deepens in character through natural aging, fostering a sense of attachment.

**Stackable for Easy Storage**
Lightweight and easy to handle, this stool is also designed for stackable storage. When not in use, multiple stools can be neatly stacked, saving space even in compact areas. Consider stacking them with other colors from the same series (indigo or persimmon tannin dye) for a visually appealing arrangement.

**Tachibana Textile Research Institute**
The Tachibana Textile Research Institute in Mukoujima, Onomichi City, aims to create products by reinterpreting discarded materials as resources. This includes waste iron powder from steelworks, wood scraps from furniture makers and farmers, oyster shells, and increasingly abandoned farmland. Through dyeing techniques, they aim to rediscover these once-discarded items as valuable "resources." The resulting products are designed to be close companions to their users.

**Onomichi Kakien**
The region where Onomichi Kakien is located (Sugano district, Mitsugi Town, Onomichi City) has flourished as one of Japan's leading persimmon-producing areas since the early Edo period. Based on a 400-year history and the local climate, and driven by a deep affection for their hometown, they revive the persimmons grown in this satoyama region. They meticulously and honestly handcraft products such as dried persimmons, persimmon vinegar, and persimmon tannin, preserving the traditions of this area.
