"Nightingale" is adapted from Andersen's well-known fairy tale: "The emperor kept the beautiful voice of the nightingale in the palace, but did not know that free flight is the source of beautiful singing." The art style of the puppets is made by paper carving, which integrates the traditional Chinese stick-head puppet operation form, and develops multiple sets of new styles of puppetry methods. The character portrays are vivid and show the unique mechanism design and dexterous creativity in the puppet show. The play originated in 2014, directed and produced by the Volkswagen Municipal Theater in Roden, Poland. It performed 25 consecutive shows in Poland. The show was full and the media was well received. In 2016, the international Chinese version of "Nightingale" was reproduced by Wu Du You Opera Troupe. . The beautiful soundtrack in the play was composed by the award-winning Polish composer Piotr Salaber.
