What is the wood firing process?** American, Japanese, and Miaoli clays are mixed in varying proportions. The process involves careful hand-building (not on a potter's wheel) to gradually shape the form. After the basic shape is achieved, the lines of the greenware are refined, followed by polishing to complete the initial form. Once loaded into the kiln, the pieces undergo a five-day, four-night wood firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow between the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire marks. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required to reveal the exquisite form of each piece! What should guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is handcrafted, it will inevitably bear the marks of the maker's touch. Minor variations may also occur during the firing process. Slight irregularities in the rim or minor production marks are normal and do not affect usability.
