We strolled through snow that reached our calves, playfully touching the frosted branches of fir trees, building a snowman, and even attempting a rather clumsy snowball fight. Afterward, we ventured away from the crowds, heading from the verdant plains towards the higher hills and mountains. Having never truly experienced snow before, I remember being mesmerized on the winding mountain roads by the fir trees laden with snowflakes. Their branches, reaching towards the sky, caught the falling snow, reflecting the clear afternoon sun as if an unseen hand had adorned Christmas trees with golden ribbons and a generous dusting of fine gold powder. Immersed in this Eastern European country, so uncommon for Asians, for a month, I've longed to revisit it in different seasons.
