The leaves of the Dwarf Cherry are small, and the trunk has an aged, textured bark.
It easily achieves a grand presence in a small form,
making it a classic subject for bonsai.
This exposed-root Dwarf Cherry is nearly 20 years old,
with beautifully intertwined and layered roots.
The designer has carefully selected key branches,
creating deliberate empty space between them
to enhance the concept of a grand presence in a small form.
A specimen tree worth collecting and nurturing.
Dwarf Cherry flowering and fruiting season: April-November.
Fruits transition from green to red, growing from small to large over a month.
The mature red fruit stage lasts about 20 days, with fruits measuring 0.4-0.8 cm.
Flowering occurs almost year-round. Pollination within 1-2 days of blooming leads to fruit.
After flowering, fertilizing and pruning encourages new growth, laden with flower buds.
It can showcase its beauty up to three times a year; in well-lit areas of central and southern Taiwan, it may even bloom four times.
Among fruit-bearing trees, it offers the highest reward.
