These are SDGs jewelry pieces featuring Kintsugi, upcycling Arita ware. We reuse broken or chipped pottery that would otherwise be discarded, applying Kintsugi to transform them into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, while giving new possibilities to these reborn items. We've paired an elegant pottery shard, adorned with a delicate leaf pattern, with golden rutile quartz. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery fragment, allowing the gold to catch the light beautifully from every angle, adding a touch of refined elegance. The accompanying chain is made of surgical stainless steel, treated with 18K coating for enhanced resistance to discoloration and gentleness on the skin, making it suitable for those with sensitivities. The chain length is 40cm with an additional 5cm adjuster. This piece uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Instead of traditional urushi lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, we use a new, less allergenic synthetic lacquer and gold powder (brass powder).
