INDUSTAR-69 28mm F2.8 M39 LENS for CHAIKA CAMERAS ADJUSTED TO LEICA LTM FOCUS
ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!)
The Chaika cameras was produced in 1965-1973 years at Belorusskiy Optical and Mechanical Factory (BeLOMO).
"Chaika" was space ID of Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in the World who made the space voyage.
Chaika cameras were point-&-shoot cameras, but it had been equipped by removable Industar-69 lens.
ITEM'S CONDITION: WELL-USABLE, ADJUSTED TO LTM, TESTED WITH TAKING PHOTOS
The glass is enough clean and will bring nice images, without scratches, separations or fungus, but some cleaning marks at optics and some pieces of dust inside can be found.
Aperture blades open and close smoothly, focusing is very smooth too (lubricated).
Cosmetically the lens looks nice (just examine item's photos, please).
All functions are available. You can see example photos taken with presented lens at F2.8 & F8. I took it with my Olympus OM-D camera and with usual M39/M43 adapter. I received correct distance scale and could focus it just "on-eye" according with visible distance.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
* Brand: BelOMO.
* Model: Industar-69.
* Focus: 28 mm.
* Frame size 18x24mm.
* Angle of view: about 45 degrees for 18x24mm frame size. It will make strong vignetting at usual 24x36mm frame size.
* Relative aperture: 1:2.8.
* Aperture: from 2.8 up to 16 (without f-stop clicks).
* Mounting: M39 (LTM) screw mount, optical registration is close to 28.8mm (original registration was 27.5mm).
* The lens will provide close to "infinity" focusing at genuine 28.8mm LTM optical registration. New aperture index was placed after the adjustment.
NOTE: The lens will not provide correct focus with Chajka cameras after this adjustment. It can be re-adjusted back to Chajka's 27.5mm without any problem.
* Very good idea is to use the lens with mirrorless digital MFT cameras like Sony NEX, Olympus & Lumix with Micro 4/3 mount etc. Just add the adapter for it...
* Resolution (pairs of lines per 1 mm): not less than 45 in the center and 20 on the edge of frame.
* Sharpness is decreased at corners of the frame even for Micro 4/3 format. It is usual feature of all Industar-69 lenses which I tested before.
* Dimensions: length 20 mm (at infinity), diameter 47 mm.
* Weight: 54 g (lens only).
* Filter mount: screw mount 22.5x0.5 mm.
