As lyricist Lin Xi from Hong Kong once said, "The existence of ghost stories is what makes Hong Kong precious." The emergence of local ghost legends often reflects the social conditions, prevailing atmosphere, and unique historical context of the time, making them worthy of recording and preservation. We aim to explore Hong Kong's century-long history, culture, and identity through a collection of a hundred years of Hong Kong folklore. 'Ghost Tales' uses 'Shokugan' (snack toy) stickers as a medium to interpret Hong Kong's ghost legends. These 'Shokugan' stickers first appeared in 1977, included with Japanese snack packaging. They are typically 4.8 x 4.8cm in size and are commonly known as "chocolate cookie stickers," "snack toy stickers," or "cookie stickers." In the 80s and 90s, Hong Kong was influenced by Japanese pop culture, and these "snack toy stickers" became a cherished collective childhood memory for many Hongkongers. We have systematically organized 100 ghost stories and combined them with 'Shokugan' stickers to create a new media format, documenting a 'Yokai Encyclopedia' belonging to Hong Kong people with both illustrations and text. The project will release 100 'Shokugan' stickers themed around Hong Kong ghost legends. For each story, we have created a unique monster character and a brief description. The stickers feature special printing effects such as laser flashes, gold foil, and silver foil, enhancing the collection value of 'A Hundred Tales of Hong Kong Ghosts.' The 'A Hundred Tales of Hong Kong Ghosts' sticker series compiles local ghost stories, with original illustrations and text bringing mysterious events to life. Volume 4 includes "The Blue Pool Azure Dragon," "The Ngau Chi of San Po Ping," "The Faceless Ghost of Wah Fu Estate," and "The Headless Ghost of Wun Tau Tong." https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51739754478_faf1bc6590_b.jpg
