**|Detailed introduction|**
Van Dyck Brown is the first iron- Silver process invented by British astronomer Sir John Herschel in 1842. It is an ancient printing method. It was so named because the printing color was similar to the brown pigment of painter Anthony Van Dyck.
The sensitizer is composed of three chemicals, ferric ammonium citrate, silver nitrate, and tartaric acid, and is fixed with sodium thiosulfate (hypo).
During the process, gold dyeing or selenium dyeing can be used to preserve the image, and finally a layer of Wax is applied for protection.
