Currently residing in Taiwan, they dedicate their days to crafting and designing stamps from a charming old apartment in Taipei. Previously working as an editor for magazines and books at a publishing house, Chamilgarden now focuses exclusively on stamp design. Each season, they release handmade, original creation stamps, with their collected works published in volumes no. 1-8, featuring over 100 stamps in the eighth volume. Their published books include: "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stamp Carving: Next Stamp Class." Using erasers as the primary material for carving, each stamp is slowly and deliberately crafted, one stroke at a time. Stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday observations, landscapes and encounters during travels, and cherished interests (incorporating elements like text, flowers, geometric shapes, nature, architecture, etc.). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, with intersecting multiple focal lines and planes, complemented by minimalist primary and secondary lines, foreign text, and personal symbol notations to form the stamp imagery. Chamilgarden enjoys combining stamps and colors, orchestrating unique solo performances, collaborations, and repetitions between stamps of varying sizes. Many graphic designs are also derived from snippets of stamps, extended through layering and combinations (for items like postcards and washi tape).
