These accessories feature half of a peacock-colored shell pearl (cultured pearl) adorned with "silver foil." ■ About the Foil The "silver foil," designed to evoke the stars of the night sky, is made from aluminum foil. While silver foil was initially considered, it has the drawback of potentially tarnishing with prolonged use. Aluminum was chosen for its resistance to discoloration and its visually indistinguishable appearance from silver. Aluminum might bring to mind building materials or kitchen foil, but please experience the starlike shimmer firsthand, a far cry from those impressions. The extremely thin sheet foil is first broken into fine flakes and then meticulously applied to the pearl, flake by flake, using a brush. ■ About the Pearl This is an aurora-colored pearl whose hue shifts with the angle of light, offering shades of navy, dark green, and purple. The contrast between the lustrous pearl and the sparkling foil is captivating. The round pearl, approximately 10mm in diameter, possesses a presence that seems about to spill from the ear. It complements not only modern fashion but also traditional Japanese attire and formal occasions. ■ Post Crafted from stainless steel, which is less likely to cause allergic reactions. ■ Clip-on These are screw-back clasps. Silicone covers are provided for the parts that touch the back of the ear.
