Due to the plant tannins within the leather interacting with air and sunlight, its surface color gradually deepens over time. Combined with the natural oils from your hands and the friction from daily use, it develops a lustrous patina, making each piece unique to its owner and their habits. Leather is a byproduct of the livestock industry. Therefore, farmers do not typically prioritize protecting the cattle's skin. This can result in imperfections such as insect bites, scratches, or puncture marks from the raising process. Free-roaming cattle may also bear brands. As the animal grows, natural lines and wrinkles form. In cases of difficult birth for mother cows, surgical scars may also be present. During the process of preparing the mature animal for consumption, skinning can leave knife marks. These marks are faithfully preserved in the leather when it's transformed into cowhide, bearing witness to the animal's life. Custom fonts can be specified. ▴ Engraving area is up to 60mm x 12mm, with a fee of NT$150. ▴ Laser engraving uses a high-temperature laser beam to burn the surface of the leather. The resulting text will appear as a black, charred mark. Therefore, this service is not suitable for dark-colored leathers such as black or dark blue. ▴ Some products require laser engraving before production. Laser engraving cannot be applied to finished items. Therefore, separate production scheduling is necessary. Please contact customer service to inquire about production times when selecting this service. 🌞 Care and Maintenance -------------------- Regular use is the best form of maintenance. Avoid exposing the leather to humid environments. If the leather accidentally gets wet, immediately wipe it dry with a clean cloth and let it air dry in a cool, ventilated area. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, as this can harden and damage the leather. Once dry, apply a leather conditioner to replenish the leather's oils. You can also spray a waterproofing agent on the surface to protect against accidental spills and enhance its durability. For storage or long periods of non-use, place the item in an electronic dehumidifying cabinet, maintaining humidity between 50%-60% to prevent mold. Alternatively, a sealed bag with a desiccant pack can achieve a similar effect. Once your order is confirmed, we will arrange for shipment of in-stock items as soon as possible. If an item is out of stock, it will be made to order. The product warranty period is one year from the date of purchase, during which time repairs and maintenance can be done at our store. Except for human-caused damage, repairs will be free of charge. After one year, we continue to offer free leather maintenance. For repairs, a nominal labor fee will apply. 5. Our studio prefers natural leather materials. The cowhide is not excessively processed or coated with heavy surface treatments. Slight variations in color, texture, and minor marks are inherent. We cannot accommodate requests for "flawless" leather surfaces. Once personalized with engraving or laser carving, returns will not be accepted unless there was a production error.
