Production
The intersecting design is often seen in Japanese traditional crafts and decorations, symbolizing not only decoration but also auspicious meanings and strong connections. The vibrant silk threads are meticulously wrapped, adding depth and dimension to the simple shape, creating a refined glow around the ear.
Sustainability
All pieces are crafted from high-quality Japanese silk threads that are unexpectedly left over during the production of woven fabrics, such as those used for kimonos. We've learned that surplus silk thread is often discarded, so we sought a way to avoid wasting this precious material, spun from silkworm cocoons, down to the shortest lengths.
Our pieces are designed for longevity, as the thread can be rewound and the base can be repaired as needed.
