This coarse red clay allows you to enjoy the rough texture and warmth that is unique to ceramic clay. A matte white glaze with a warm color and texture, with slight yellowish and reddish hues. I created a rice bowl that combines these two elements. By using coarse clay, the texture of the clay can be felt, giving the vessel a warm, ceramic-like impression. The round shape is somehow adorable, and the slightly wider base makes it stable. The rustic texture and atmosphere go well with crops grown from the soil, and it makes white rice, multigrain rice, and cooked rice look delicious. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. The plump, rounded shape, rough texture, and slight weight give it a ceramic feel. Although we cannot mass-produce them, each one has its own unique character and you can enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand.
